Sergeant Barry Keen of 14 Signal Regiment killed in Afghanistan!
Read this
I stand here in the uniform they gave me when I joined
I was the one who run to sign the papers and serve my country
Now I am in a far off land that I cannot pronounce the name of
And I wonder,is it my war?Is it my fight? Should I really be here?
Then I remember why I ran so fast,I wanted to make my mother proud
I wanted to stand up for her rights,I wanted to be the hero of the hour
And add my name to others who did so before me
And I am at peace,I am where I should be,Doing what I am supposed to do
Wearing the clothes that are my second skin now
And I am proud to be the person I was trained to be
I will not hide away when faced by those who do not believe as I
But I will stand and look them in the eye and let them know
When they were sat in the comfort of their home
That I was there,And made a difference

I am so proud to have known this man. Baz was everything that anyone could ever ask for in a son, boyfriend, friend and soldier. The army was his life and he would do anything for anyone. There is so much to say about this man, but no words will ever do to describe him. I will always remember him and everything he taught those around him. (including the ironing)! Baz you will never be forgotten. love always and forever. Rest in peace darling.
Baz touch so many people's hearts and I am so proud to say he was our friend. He really was one in a million and someone to look up to. He was caring, kind and a bloody good lad. Rest in peace mate x

Baz, You were my best bud, my confidant, and my brother in all but name. You are never far from my thoughts and still keep me giggling when I remember some of the scrapes we got into!! You will never be forgotten and always subject of our conversations when the boys get together. I miss and love you mate. Rest well.... Dave

Bad was due to take over from me at 11CTT, he called to say I was a jammy bastard because I'd been extended to finish my time and he had been posted to 14SR, quirks of fate never hit until I heard he had given his life for our freedom. Baz, I'm so proud to have known you, you were my friend and colleague, not a day goes past that I dont wonder what if. May you rest now buddy, used bless ya
