50 civilians killed in NATO air strike, Afghan officials say!
Read this Wining the hearts and minds of the local population or just blowing them to pieces?-Unfortunately it's a war and innocent people die in a war,that's the nature of the animal!-Expect to see more of the same for a long time to come!-The Taliban routinely use civilians as human shields,sometimes forcing women and children out in front of them while they engage our troops and they purposely occupy built up areas in the hope of deterring return fire from coalition forces.Innocent civilians will get killed in the crossfire during a firefight,a bullet recognizes neither friend nor foe!-It's a testament to the professionalism and restraint of the British soldiers serving in Afghanistan that a lot more civilian casualties haven't occurred!
