I followed you here from Laban's blog
I was reading your favourite films list and given you mention Wild Geese I thought you might like the following:
The Mercenaries (1968)
Sometimes called Dark of the Sun. Rod Taylor leads mercenaries through Congo. Great stuff.
A Game for Vultures (1979) Richard Harris (nice tie-in to Wild Geese there) fighting for Rhodesia in the late '70s. Good movie thats not too polluted by PC. Actually sympathetic to Rhodesia, unthinkable that it could be made now.
OTOH you may have seen them and just dont like them!

While Im doing recommendations, look out for this book, No Mean Soldier by Peter McAleese. He was SAS then Rhodesian Army then South African military. Brilliant stuff, just happened to see it at a car boot sale, read it in a couple of days.
