Special forces to strike at Taliban!

Read this It's a start but 200 SAS and one more infantry battalion is clearly not enough to cope with a province the size of wales, let alone the rest of the country, which, when the proverbial hits the fan,the British Army are going to have to deal with! The sad fact is that following defence cut after cut the British Army is a mere shadow of its former self and simply does not have enough men and equipment to cope with a "war on two fronts",(A little look at history concerning the fates of two armies, one French and one German, who made the same mistake and were destroyed as a result might be useful!)We simply don't have enough soldiers to fullfil all our commitments as it is.No wonder that Argentina has started to mouth off about the Falkland Islands again,if,God forbid, they decided to invade Port Stanley tommorow there's practicaly nothing we could do about it with our current armed forces manning levels.Afghanistan is a country with a violent history of resistance against foreign invaders, they beat us three times, humiliated the Soviets and happily fight between themselves at every oportunity, simply because it's what they do best! It's vast, mountainus terrain could have been purpose built for guerilla warfare, somthing they are experts in through centuries of practise.Without commiting the entire British Army there-WE CAN'T WIN!So the only alternative is to pull out and let the Afghans sort their own problems out before more of our men and women die for a pipe dream, unfortunately the decision rests with Blair and his "Politburo"whose record of lying, cheating, incompetence and staggering indifference to the wishes of the country bode badly for our servicemen abroad.
