Not too long after the Belfasts were withdrawn the RAF had to lengthen a number of Herculeses to replace them.
I remember seeing some of them in the livery of Heavy Lift, at Southend airport, in the late eighties. If I recall correctly they looked a little neglected, with at least one minus an engine or two. Their RAF service must have been fairly short.
